Ingredients +
Chilli, Kashmiri Chilli, Coriander Seeds, Poppy Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon Sticks, Dry Coconut, Cumin Seeds, Black Pepper, Urad Dal, Channa Dal, Rock Salt
Cooking Instructions+
Cook rice and let it cool.
In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add chana dal, urad dal, cashews, red chillies, curry leaves, and hing. Sauté until golden.
Add brinjal and turmeric. Cook until soft. Add 2–3 tsp of Annam Vangibath Powder and sauté briefly. Add tamarind extract (optional) with a little water and cook until the masala thickens.
Add cooked rice and salt, mix well, and cook on low flame for a few minutes. Garnish with coriander or coconut if desired.
Brinjal can be replaced with capsicum, ivy gourd, or paneer.
Storage Information +
Annam products are crafted fresh and preservative-free. To keep the richness alive, transfer the contents to an airtight container. Use only a clean, dry spoon. Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate.
